     - Bio -

     Wattson is playing a fresh and exciting brand of "Swamp Rock" and "Soulful Funky Blues."  Wattson is steeped in traditions of Chicago’s electric blues, coupled with the sounds of California's Classic Rock N’ Roll, and capped off with the soul of Memphis. 

     Wattson has captivated the hearts and minds of music lovers throughout Chicagoland.  Always aiming to please, these boys from the city of wind never fail in using their sound musicianship and honest lyrics to keep audiences always wanting more. 

      The band includes: Carlin Woods (Lead Vocals), Chris Swade (Drums), Mike Bailey (Guitar) and Tim C Jones (Bass).

     We are here to play.  Let us know about:  booking shows, opening for other bands, playing open mics, and performing anywhere and everywhere.  Wattson is currently writing and recording new tunes while arranging covers to fit the band’s format.

     We are hitting the notes and hitting the streets, networking Wattson to Chicago’s great music fans.  Thanks for taking some time with us, come see us perform, download the songs, pass them on, tell a friend.  "We’re not trying to reinvent the wheel here...  We just want to write great tunes and deliver them to you."  Keep checking back for upcoming shows, new tunes, merchandise, and other info!

     Wattson is always looking for ORGAN / Keyboard (ists), 2nd Guitarist,  and SINGERS (back-ups).  Requirements:  Must have good attitude, your own transportation, and your own equipment.

07/18/08  -  Wattson is embarking on a new era.  We are holding open auditions to expand the core of the band.  As a fan, expect lots of different faces sharing the stage with us, tons of new covers, and healthy jams.  As a fellow musician, contact us via email, and get ready to shake booties and melt faces.

06/21/08  -  Wattson regretfully announces the departure of Joe Kasper on guitar.  We respect his decision and wish him luck in all future endeavors.  Wattson thanks Joe for all his hard work on and off the stage, you will be missed, best wishes.

04/21/08  -  Wattson is busy playing live.  Come see.  Thanks to those who've given support, hung out, put on the miles, put on the weight, and put one hand against the other. 

03/03/08  -  Wattson gets some ink with a great Flabby Hoffman Review.

02/11/08  -  Wattson is pleased to announce that we have welcomed Carlin Woods into the band! Carlin will be taking on the lead vocal duties for the group. We are very excited about this addition to the group.

01/14/08  -  Hey thanks to everyone who came out and helped make last Saturday's show at "The Note" the best Wattson show yet!!!!!  Wattson has two new original tunes, Hard Tryin' and Right Now Move.  We will be performing them at the Lunar Brewing Co. Open Mic (Tues 02/05/08).  The lineup for the Lunar St. Pats Show (Sat 03/15/08) is final:  Wattson - Hunting the Rabbit - AndDave.

12/22/07  -  Thanks to you 2007 went better than expected; we'd like to thank you for you continued support as we have started to gig outside our local stomping grounds.  2008 promises to be even more electrifying.  We just booked a Lunar St. Pats Show (lineup tba), taken a gig at the Note and Goose Island, other exciting opportunities keep coming our way.  We are enjoying life.  We have been taking some time to promote at cool venues/shows (city & burbs)... cheers to those hard working bands. 

12/08/07  -  Hangin' out w/ Ben Storm.  Ben has sat in with us in the past, he will be singing lead and playing harp with us at Tiger O'Stylies (Fri 12/14/07 - 6300 Ogden Ave, Berwyn IL).  Come out and encourage him to stick around.  Rumor has it that Russ O'Dean may also sit in on a couple of tunes unless he gets poisoned by a bad taco.

11/25/07  -  Wattson is writing and rehearsing new tunes...  Some new tunes should be ready by January.  Some old tunes will be delightfully refined.  See you soon.
